Voorhees, NJ — On Wednesday, October 25th, Brandywine Living at Voorhees hosted a magical night of formal fashion for a good cause.
Their “Fashion Show Fundraiser” event gathered the local community to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month while enjoying an evening of dancing, laughter and courage.
Brandywine senior residents, team members, industry partners and local cancer survivors volunteered to be center stage as models for the evening.
Each model walked the Brandywine runway to “Girl on Fire” and an applauding audience of over 60 attendees. Their show of strength and individuality was celebrated with a champagne toast and appetizers.
Formal dresses were live-auctioned and donated to Voorhees Public Schools to help underprivileged girls feel empowered this prom season.
Local community sponsors donated raffle baskets to assist with raising funds for breast cancer research.
“It is an honor to organize and participate in an event that directly benefits breast cancer research. It is so important to raise awareness, encourage women to get their annual mammograms and support a cause that touches us all,” commented Rachel Rivera-Fritz, Brandywine Community Relations.
The event raised over $1,800 to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation whose mission is dedicated to ending breast cancer.
Participating industry partners included Bratton Law Group and Suncrest Hospice. Local community sponsors included The New Berlin Diner, Ollie Gators Pub and Roma's Pizza and Italian Restaurant.
